PRNotch sits in your menu bar and drops a dark, notch-styled panel under the camera. Every PR you own, owe a review on, or share an org with — with its CI state, in one place.
Everything PRNotch knows comes from three GitHub searches: PRs you authored, PRs waiting on your review, and open PRs across your orgs. No configuration, no repo list to maintain.
Reviews you owe, sitting above your own work.
CI state, approvals, and change requests per row.
Click any row to open it on GitHub.
Each one slides out of the notch for six seconds, then leaves. Nothing else ever will.
On out of the box · one toggle to silence · plain panels, so Focus won't filter them
Your review queue, always at the top of the panel.
CI on every row, a toast the moment it breaks.
No dock icon, no windows, no repo lists to curate.
The whole settings pane, listed. It lives behind the gear in the panel — there is no preferences window, and nothing to configure per repo.
PRNotch reads GITHUB_TOKEN, or asks the GitHub CLI for its token, or uses one you paste — saved to ~/.config/prnotch/token, readable only by you.
One request, to api.github.com, on a timer. No analytics, no crash reporter, no third-party libraries, no server of ours in between.
The app is signed and notarised by Apple, so it opens with a double-click — no right-click-to-open ritual, no security warning.
Buy, and the download link appears. Drag PRNotch.app into Applications and open it. It has no dock icon — look for the pull-request glyph in your menu bar.
Already used gh auth login? It finds that token by itself. Otherwise open settings and paste a personal access token.
The menu bar item shows a count and turns orange when something is blocked. Click it — or hit ⌘⇧P from anywhere — for the panel. Flip "Open at login" in settings and it's there every morning.
No account, no licence key, no subscription, no trial to forget about. You pay a dollar and get a zip file.
Everything the app does, which is everything below.
Check the requirements — the app is a native Apple silicon build and won't run outside them.
gh CLI or a token you pastePay and the download link appears immediately — no account to create, nothing to activate. Not what you expected? Reply to the Stripe receipt and I'll refund it.
